Franco Ferrari
FRANCO FERRARI è un artista che possiede grande ermeticità ed un’ essenzialità tormentata.
Nel 1967 realizza la sua prima mostra alla galleria “La Saletta” di Roma.
Nel 1971 è stato uno dei fondatori dell’ Alzaia, centro di produzione e divulgazione artistico-culturale e da molti anni è socio fondatore dell’associazione “In tempo”.
Gli elementi inquietanti che scivolano nella luce reale, pericolosamente generati dalla sua necessità di dire l’indicibile moto del suo “essere”, invadono le sue creazioni artistiche e costituiscono, per il fruitore, un ulteriore grado di difficoltà , nel già periglioso tentativo di comprenderne il significato, quasi ad indurre in lui timore ed un forte senso di colpa immotivato.
Cromie calde e fredde ben definite si alternano, intervallate da soggetti d’ombra ed anatomie in apparenza essenziali nella forma, ma estremamente complesse nella sostanza apparente e non, ricoperte di intricati grovigli che, come un corto-circuito, le attraversano illuminandole a tratti di barlumi di coscienza. Forme frastagliate come sottili lame di pensiero tagliano la continuità della tela, foriere di ancestrali paure e moniti.
In alcune sue opere, come in “Della stessa materia”, spesso compaiono, alla stregua di un “Deus ex machina” , creature dall’aspetto dominante , che, incombendo quasi minacciose, sembrano estranee alla composizione . Create attraverso un processo inconscio dall’autore assumono , poi, vita propria e si pongono in aperto confronto con il fruitore e con l’autore stesso.
L’ effetto che provocano è quello di rendere “instabile” il fenomeno della creazione artistica, e di indurre una meditazione sulla natura dell’elemento creato.
Ferrari esprime nelle sue opere lo scontro fra l’opera stessa ed il suo demiurgo, scontro devastante da cui, nella sofferta composizione, scaturisce la scintilla.

FRANCO FERRARI is an artist who has got a great tightness and a tormented essentiality.
In 1967 he attended his first exhibition at the “La Saletta” gallery in Rome.
In 1971 he was one of the founders of the Alzaia, a center of artistic-cultural production and dissemination, and for many years he has been a founding member of the "In tempo" association.
The disturbing elements that slip into the real light, dangerously generated by his need to say the unspeakable motion of his "being", invade his artistic creations and constitute, for the user, a further degree of difficulty, in the already perilous attempt to understand their meaning, as if to induce fear and a strong sense of unmotivated guilt in him.
Well-defined warm and cold colors alternate, interspersed with subjects of shadow and anatomies apparently essential in their forms, but extremely complex in the apparent substance and not, covered with intricate tangles which, like a short-circuit, cross them, illuminating them at intervals of glimpses of conscience.
Jagged shapes like thin blades of thought cut the continuity of the canvas, harbingers of ancestral fears and warnings.
In some of his artworks, such as in "Of the same matter", creatures with a dominant appearance often appear, like a "Deus ex machina", which, looming almost threatening, seem alien in the composition. They are created through an unconscious process by the author, and, after, they became alive of their own and place themselves in open confrontation with the user and with the author himself.
The effect they cause is to make the phenomenon of artistic creation "unstable", and to induce a meditation on the nature of the created element.
Ferrari expresses in his works the clash between the work itself and its demiurge, a devastating clash from which, in the painful composition, the spark springs.
